Well I had my first major off tonight at about half past six. I hadn't been out on the bike for about two weeks and I was kinda excited at getting back on. I gave it too much throttle in first gear and away the back end went and down went me and the bike Sad Thumbs Down

Guess I just have to put it down to lack of experience as I've only been riding about six months, not really an excuse tho and I'm angry with myself. Fingers crossed not too much damage to the bike. Shes still riding okay so it seems just to be cosmetic.

As for me, a sore knee and elbow but apart from that I'm good. Draggin jeans and my big jacket held out well. I'll never go out without proper gear on, I'd have been buggered had I just trainers and tracky bottoms on.

I'm pretty handy with some sandpaper and some paint so I think I can sort this one out myself for the time being. Anyone got any hints or tips? If I had my crash bungs on I'd have escaped this I think Thumbs Down

Just found the orange cap so I can get this sorted with a screw.

Going to need a new mirror, the metal has snapped. Anyone got any idea how much it'll cost and if I could get a second hand one? Whats the law on mirrors, can I get away with one?

I'll tough this up with some matt black paint, I've just ordered a new can anyway but it wont be here for three weeks.

I really want to get it sorted for the start of April as I want to get to the Easter Egg run in Glasgow.

Well and truly gutted Sick

Bad luck buddy.

Whack a sticker each side over the damaged area and matt-black the zorst it will look half-tidy then.

you can ride round with one mirror, you can ride round with none if you wish.

I don't know what model your bike is but these guys are very useful, if its not on their site phone them, they've helped me out loads in the past.

I wouldn't call it major, everythings still in one piece. Won't be too expensive to fix. Good luck if you're doing it yourself. Thumbs Up
