It's stated by Honda as being 95 but my Haynes (and a few other sources) reckon it's around 86bhp at the wheel.
Sounds about right to me.
Still works about around 530bhp per ton |

Honda state 96 (1bph more than newer versions ) at the crank, Haynes state 86 at the wheel.
I took mine on a free dyno run at a promo day at a dealers in November and it made 90.1 at the wheel, standard trim. |

u gotta be aving a giraffe!
my SRAD 6 with K&N & can was dynoed to a touch under 100bhp & suzuki say 106bhp AS STANDARD(& thats without any mods)
& all dynos give different readings & can be manipulated to give good readings, like i KNOW if i took mine to crescent suzuki id get about 110 so yours musta been optimistic & considering it was a freebie aswell, so maybe not a very accurate reading one
cant see it being true mate,id say around the 80s yea! ____________________ GSXR750

I never said my dyno was accurate. That's why I quoted Honda's crank figure and Haynes' rear wheel figure and gave mine as a rough 'inbetween' figure. Different bikes are all going to perform slightly differently on the dyno. The Haynes one was probably a bike with 1 mile on the clock, not run in. Mine was on about 14k which gets hammered quite regularly, and if I'm not mistaken I think G says having a bike hammered quite regularly can release a few BHP. Maybe I'm wrong with that though.
Personally I think it was slightly optimistic, not much though. Everyone else who was having dyno's were getting exactly what they should have. Being a free (when you bought something from the dealers) dyno, they didn't attach any equipment to measure RPM so it just shows speed instead, but when my camera batteries are charged tomorrow I'll take a pic of the dyno sheets. The 90.1 BHP was from a roll on from around 2000rpm to 13,000 in fourth. I also got 87.8 from hammering it through all the gears.
Your bike performed at 94% of what suzuki said it should have, my Hornet performed at 93%, and I hardly call an air filter a massive performance increase |

well it needed another 10 sizes up on all 4 carbs main jets for the filter & this was on top of the jetting that had been done for the pipe cause thats when i HAD to get it dynoed cause i put the k&n in & it bogged down HARD cause of too much air & 1st dyno was horrid mixture but after the adjustments (rejetting & needle height) i got the mixture line as good as a carbed bike can get & mixture line being good is better then getting more bhp ____________________ GSXR750

Attached is the two dynos I had done. Sorry about the crappy photo's, my camera's not very good
Top speed is 135-140 on the road. You've got a stonger neck than me if you can do that though *awaits people moaning about the 160mph top speed on the dyno* |

how does he hold on? , hold on is this his tuned abnormal bandit, not your usual fayre, I had a go on a girlie's hornet once on the A38 got to 135ish indicated , had revs left , used them and it didn't go any higher, ditto with plenty of naked bikes. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
