Never been much of a fan and have never been to a track but I have done the TT a few times.
I was spoilt for racing by the first race I ever saw, it was the 1978 F1 TT won by Hailwood on his Ducati. Seeing that for your first race was like seeing the Rumble In The Jungle as you first boxing match, nothing is ever going to be that good again.
25 years ago last Friday Mike was tragicaly taken from us in a car crash that also took the life of his daughter, today 150 of us rode to their grave in Tamworth from the old Norton works in Bracebridge Street Aston.
Mike was the best.
