Went out for a blast yesterday with Andrea and Realninja. From stafford, to Uttoxeter, up to Windy Ridge, onto the Fiddle and then down to The Flower Pot in Macclesfield to watch the rest of the GP.

Well on the way over the fiddle on a right hander at the top the wind caught me a cropper nearly. I was leaning over to the right, trying to go right and the wind was that bad i was still going left Shocked

There was a ditch on the left side of the road and i really thought that was where i was going to stop. We did make it round, but it was really close for my liking Exclamation

Now ive been up there when there have been waves of water coming across the road, but yesterday was something else. Has anyone else had this happen to them ? I was 2 up on a blade.

The wind thread was last week. Wink

Yes though, all you can do is keep leaning into it and hope for the best, or plan ahead and leave your self plenty of lean left should you need to use it. Failing that don't go riding up windy places on a windy day. Razz

Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Nearly went that way myself yesterday, but decided on the A49 instead as the wind going over Thelwall Viaduct was, erm, interesting!

[nosy mode]Why were you 2-up? Thought you had both bikes now.......have you broken one already? Razz [/nosy mode]

Yes we have two bikes Jo, but customs want there cut now so im waiting for them to value my bike and tell me how much ive got to pay them before i can register the bike.

shouldnt be too much as the bike has no fairings, lights, exhaust pipes + can and also needs new tyres Wink
