I've gone and done it again, bought another bike.

Honda CBR 600 RR-5, Power Commander and R&G's Included.

Next to my NSR.

Looking forward to when my restriction ends.

Wow! That is a lovely looking machine.

How does it feel compared to the NSR? The step up in power must feel really good!

Thumbs Up

Cheers all, Toke, I havent had the chance to ride it although my dad says that it goes like stink, and is very very responsive.

Wont be riding it though due to restriction, the price I got it for was too good to pass up on so couldn't leave it.

People have bets on me restricting it so I can use it early.

I'm willing to take there bets and their money, all helps for the insurance I say lol.

Groove, surely not!!

As I said elsewhere, well done on the purchase Thumbs Up Look after her and ride safe Smile

All you need now is the calendar and the red pen to count down the days until you can ride her unrestricted (or give up and get it restricted as an interim - can't have a nice bike like that sat in a garage all that time) Laughing

Why not just ride it? Restriction, smiction. I guarantee you in those 11 months you will see another CBR-RR go even cheaper than you got yours, so to stop you feeling stupid when the summer ends, get out on that bike now. Laughing

DONNNNNTTT restrict it! If i find out you have i will report you to the police and you will go down for murder lol! On a serious note though, get insured and get riding. As long as you take it easy and dont go past any coppers at 150mph, i very much doubt there will be any probs. As far as i am aware there is no such thing as a legal document needed regarding restriction.

had exactly the same bike mate..
had a Micron Delta on it, the R+G's and loads of other bits and bobs, like Renthal sprockets etc...
loved it, had no problems with it... and its better looking than the 07 version.

The fact that my restriction period doesnt end til next year is one reason i'm not riding it. The other reason is that I still want to do some miles on my NSR. I dont just want to abandon it.

Jon, I doubt it mate, just having a look the otehr night the closest bike to the price I paid was a 10000 mile 2003 CBR 600 RR.

If you can find an RR with less than 5500 miles on it next year, in the same condidtion and 800 quids worth of useful accessories for considerabley less than 5k next year please let me know.

As for everything else thanks for all your comments.

Planned extras are an akrapovic exhaust and a double bubble. But when I can afford them that is.

I'm not criticising, merely suggesting that some people could construe buying a bike 11 months before actually riding a bit, well "foolish"?

BTW, the bet is on. I will find a bike in Sept/Oct that will be as good as yours. Wink
