i would buy a red R6 after seeing Wozza's one from TWO magazine

and also be careful with teh GS500, its good, but apparently the finish is very suspect and will corode quickly if not washed regularly

The R7 is actually slower than a R6 in stock form.
It was designed to be easy to tune for racers and so that they could race it in WSB.

sorry to hear about your finance problem- it would be mint to have a 400 though for a first bike! Let me know what insurance quotes you get on a 400/500 cos I ruled them out straight away cos I thought they'd be too expensive (18, no NCB).

Im lookin at round £400-£500 TPTF for 400-600cc.

having the 2 years no claims under my belt seems to make a lot of difference, dunno wether being 19 does or not, wouldnt have thought so.

Ive got an NS125RK full faired with micron system, 25000miles (had 15k on when i bought it & still restricted in mint cond for £800).

If you buy the Used Motorcycle Guide it will give good write ups on just about ALL the bikes and give a full list of specs and common problems they have and prices for various conditions.

Erm, as far as I know the GS500 is a big no no. I have a copy of RiDE and in their out of 1000 odd bikes what readers reviewed it got the crapest marks outta the lot, worst reliability, worst paint finish, worst handling, the list goes on. I dunno if this is true though cos a lot of couriers use them, so I would have thought they would be reliable???

Anyway, I am thinking of taking my test this summer, and I have just bought an NSR about a month ago. No doubt once I have passed my test I will be itching to get on a 400 or something, but I am gonna try and hold out on the NSR for a year so that I don't waste loads of insurance on it which I have paid for, it runs out next April which I suppose is good because I should be able to get a 400 or something before next summer..........this is all providing I pass my test though!! Confused Sad Confused
