Jeez have they got some deals going on, none of this we will give you an Xbox crap, however even though it is an 18 month contract, for £15 a month always, get 75 mins, 600 texts plus a lovely free phone. That's a bloody good deal and if I wasn't still tied in with my contract with Orange, i'd definitely have one!

However, have Three improved as I used to hear quite a few scary stories about Three, i.e poor reception etc etc.

Ye, they are cheap, I have just got a contract phone with them now, and the best bit is that I got a w800i as my phone. reception = they use 02 masts so are as good as 02

EDIT: https://threestore.three.co.uk/planoffers.aspx?tariffid=513 thats the price plan that i have got , it works out one hell of a lot cheaper.

I had a 3 phone, got rid of it after about two months.
I had PAYG and it is so fucking expensive. Firstly, you have to top-up £15 (£10 doesn't exist) and if you don't use your £15 by the end of the month, you lose it. Rolling Eyes

Never again.

I'm on a 3 pay monthly contract too, been on it for about 2 years now. I pay £30 a month and get 100 free texts and 500 free anytime/any network minutes per month. Not had any problems with reception except when inside some buildings (like my old gym - full reception in the foyer, walk 50 feet into the gym area and no reception at all).

I'm seriously considering this now.

My current Phone Sony Ericsson W810i, is going for about £80 on eBay if that covers the cost of ending this contract then it's a goer. Thumbs Up

The brother in law was with 3 last year and had some serious problems with his bills. 3 were sending the bills to the wrong address (their fault) then trying to charge him £15 a touch for each bill. He had none of it Laughing .

The customer services is supposed to be based in India as I recall and can be a disaster. Although I must admit they have some cracking deals. Hopefully they will improve to the levels of O2 and Orange in a few years and still be able to keep the low priced offers Thumbs Up

Ive got no issues with 3! I got the K800i or 3, coverage is pretty good.

I got 900minutes, 1500 texts, 500 MMS, and loadsa data for £15pm for 3 months then £25 after for 600mins and 1000 texts!

Last month I also managed to download 30MB of data from them too.

Free MSN, free TV and free tunes at times as well!

Also had a fault with the phone, sent of monday pm and got back 730am wed!

It was advertised on TV so I complained that its always the new customers that get the good deals and they gave me the tariff as well. Thumbs Up

These are the current O2 ones, it's worth keeping an eye on.

I had a 3 phone for about a year, maybe 18 months, and I might have just not had one. I got next to no reception anywhere I went.
I recently trashed it cause the phone was asking for my sim card, even though it was already in.

now I'm on T-Mobile with a blackberry, signal everywhere, cept my dads bathroom.

An update to this: -

I waltzed into the Phones4u outlet in the Bullring, Birmingham on Wednesday. A man asked me if I needed any help, I said I would if I didn't have 3 months left on my current contract and he said "we can change that".

Next minute they gave me £75 IN CASH to end my contract with orange, a free Nokia 6233 and the tariff on Three that is only £15 a month with 75 anytime minutes and 600 texts. That means I get more for my money than I did on Orange and it is £15 cheaper! Add on to the fact that for £5 a month you can get UNLIMITED internet access on your Three phone and it is heck of a deal.

The icing on the cake is that it only cost me £51 to end my contract and my W810i should sell for about £60. WIN. Very Happy

Extremely happy with Three so far, excellent 3G signal and it is so easy to track your usage on "my3".

So far I cannot rate Three enough, Phones4u weren't bad either. Wink

unlimited internet access isnt strictly true. its usually goes by a fair use policy, which can be anywhere from 512mb to (most ive seen) 3gb per month, and if you start to exceed it, they phone you, tell you to calm the fuck down, and if you still go on at the same pace, they bill you crap loads.
happened to my brother, but he was on a 512mb one.
I have a 1gb 'fair use policy', and I use google earth, check emails and update my website from my 8700g, and I get almost nowhere near the limit.
