I know it's a bit early, but me and Mcjam are most probably going to the Bulldog Bash this year and wondered who else is up for it.

I'll be there as usual. Thumbs Up

Not sure how much (if any) I'll be working yet though, hopefully just a few hours cover again like last year rather than the whole weekend.

After looking at the website i think i might go! It looks ace! Very Happy

Can someone just tell me what a typical day there tends to involve? (apart from getting toasted Laughing )

I've looked at the site but i can't quite work out what each day involves and in what order. Embarassed

Cheers Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Depends on what you fancy really. Get up, drag race, check out stalls, get drunk or get up, go for a ride, checkout stalls, checkout music tents, get drunk etc etc. Decent amount to do

My day started with mixing JD with coke in a large bottle (hide this from the guys who run the show, this is not allowed)
Get drunk, go shopping for knifes, gear, drugs and porn......later go listen to some heavy rock on stage or go spaz out in the dance tent.
Watch some stunts later and admire the sights and sounds of hundreds of bikes.

The day i got up, went to the strip, had a beer, and went on some quarter mile fun. Then repeated most of the above.

Trust me, don't miss this years. Cool Thumbs Up

No. You are not supposed to take glass bottles on site, but otherwise not really a problem as far as drink is concerned and you can take as much food as you can carry.

Drink prices are usually reasonable (I think it was £1.50 a can last year, about £6 for a bottle of wine?), food is always overpriced IMO because the caterers operate a kind of cartel where they decide in advance what they will charge and keep it all the same. A typical meal off most of the vans is usually about £5-6 minimum. There is plenty of choice though!

The local rotary club always have a stall that has milk, fruit juice, fresh fruit and bottled water at decent prices for when you need vitamins and some rehydration. Thumbs Up and the bext place/price for a cup of tea is usually wherever the GodSquad (CMA) set up their stall!

Right...... So if you do everything by the book and don't bring your own beer, you would have to buy beer from the stalls/bars which is going to be dangerously expensive each night! Rolling Eyes

Am i missing something here or is this just a major downside of the event? Confused

Question

Nah, thats rubbish. We've been there for as long as I can remember and never had a problem. I've heard of (but never seen myself) 'em confiscating beers at the gate from those not even trying to hide it. Over the years I've been there with others on bikes, in cars and on foot, and have yet to encounter this problem. It's always said that on the website/ tickets etc so if it ever does happen I consider myself fairly warned, but I can't see it being an issue. (If you're a cider drinker you need to take some in 'cos they always run out by Saturday morning)

Pretty safe I'd say.

One year I was there, there had been a spate of thefts from tents reported. The theif was found (one of the lads working on the fair) and never seen again... I assume he was handed over to the police outside the compound.
