Well, yesterday was my 16th birthday and of course i got out on the scooter. Went round a few backroads and then headed into town with my mate. Got into a garage because he needed a splash of petrol. I turned mine off and put the steering lock on, came back out and the key would not go into the ignition. The flap was broke so i got it hoaked out and it still wouldnt take the key, however with 5mins of wiggling it, it finally went in but it would not turn or take the steering lock off. Any ideas on how to fix it, if possible?

It could just need lubricating, try squirting a can of WD40/3-in1/GT85 into the key slot, give it 5 mins to seep in and try again. Regularly through the winter my steering locks jammed, it's being exposed to the elements that does it.

Oh and happy birthday, for yesterday Mr. Green

Ahh, to be young again, CBT was started in 1990(?) which means that a number of over 33 year old's never did it.
Must of been an attempt to keep the population down, survival of the fittest and all that. Those were the days, riding 'round on 250's with minimal protection and no training. Attempting to get your bike up to 100mph while forgetting your brakes were made of wood and your tyres were from India. Kids today don't know their born, disc brakes, body armour, mumble mumble.

Its hard to tell from the photo but they can sometimes be security type bolts and you will need the correct bit to get them out. Have you tried a star bit as well as an allen key?

Yep it didnt work. I got them out with a chizel and drilling the head off one. And yes it was a security bolt.
