Moped into Car

Hey guys,

Im going to be doing quite a large drive (200 miles) and I don’t really want to ride a moped that distance apart from the fact it will take a long time and time isn't on our side anymore because of the move

My moped that I am planning on getting is a Piaggio Zip 50 and I was wondering if it would fit in the back of a Peugeot 307 Estate?

Any ideas? (And before someone says "why don’t you try it" I don’t have it yet!)

Why don't you get the car then try it?

Should fit in I would think as they are quite roomy, but it will be on its side (the scooter not the car) so make sure no fluids are leaking out.

You will fit it in and like above posters have mentioned make sure theres no fluids are leaking out.

put some rubber mats down,so if anything leaks out its easily caught and cleared up.

just an idea, but you could also buy the scooter AFTER you have moved, must be one for sale locally

I got a DNA125 (quite big for a scoot) into the back of my Laguna Hatch back. Had to leave the rear down slightly open, tied down, but was fine.

Yeah i could get one locally but it is £100 more expensive and i would rather spend £100 on gear to save myself then to cause less trouble in getting a moped in the back of a car!
