Thoughts on the best kneesliders please.
Been looking at some but don't have a clue! Puck or teardrop? Whats better to start off with, plastic or titanium. Will getting a pair of happy shopper sliders make much of a difference?
Thanks for any help and yeah I think its obvious I want to start getting my knee down so any hints, tips, advice etc. would be much appreciated

hi
anything is good they are all the same really apart the teardrop ones tend to fall off more that the others,
tips, go to a local quiet roundabout, and go round it lots of tine progressively going faster and leaning more, make sure you hang off lots too, this mean shifting your arse off the seat so you hang off the side you want to get you knee down, patience and practise is all you need and you will get it, anymore questions contact

Kevs knee down school, slough, lessons usually take place at stockly park roundabout on saturdays and sundays

Would like to get somebody to help me out but Sloughs a bit too far.
They can fall off? Shocked
I was thinking of using a rather large carpark near me as its completely empty atfer 11pm although having a roundabouts island to guide myself round does sound better

Tip- have a good sniff around the first time you check out a roundabout. If you get even a faint whiff of diesel, go find another. Smile

Personally I don't get on with the teardrops, they feel too rough and wear down too quickly.

The best ones I found are the Worth ones free off their site (some offer a while back). They are smooth and last a while Smile

Are you actually going to be producing your own kneesliders or just selling branded ones?
If you are manufacturing them hows about making a BCF design kneeslider Wink

Don't know which knee sliders are considered to be 'best' but I have Wiz Sparky 'Waki Plaki' kneesliders which M's mum bought me for my birthday last year. The velcro is really strong and they make nice sparks, the feel is okay and they are quite noisy (not sure if this is a good or bad thing) which is an extra indication that you have got your knee down. Tbh I dont touch down with my knee that often and I am still on my first pair of sliders.

Quite often magazines have reviews of kneesliders but so long as they don't fall off or disentegrate on impact then its all down to personal opinion on the feel/sound you want.

What bike you trying it on mate? It's easier to hang off some of the smaller 400's etc. Not so easy on a Blade, but it's meant to be easier to lean waaaay over on a bigger bike.
Luke just hangs off with the bike near-vertical Wink

motrax teardrop titanium, mucho expensive but good for being showy

teardrop sparkies or plain plastic are same but cheaper, good size so good for beginners, extra inch or so closer Razz

and never had a problem with them coming off, just put them on properly, they are curved to the shape of your knee armour, some leathers wont accomadate properly i guess..
