Brooklands in Weybridge

I've just been told market day is every Sunday not Saturday. My mate is finding out tomorrow if we can get access to the runway but I've got a feeling if loads of us turn up (which it looks like at the mo) then they are going to turn us away for obvious reasons.

If we can't get the actual runway then we'll just use the land around it, plenty of room and no gates to go through. Don't worry, there's loads of room for a piss about other than the runway.

Whats the deal with the land around it? Private public etc etc?

It's kind of public, the main area is a go-cart track with a large car park (shit surface though), then right at the back is an area with nice ish tarmac. If you cut across the field it leads you to the airfeild, barriers stop cars from doing this.

There are two entrances to the airfeild, one guarded 24/7 and the other closed but not guarded (again, bikes can get through). This area can also be used as there are no cars or guards at this end.
There is also a nice roundabout at the end so we can do a bit of kneedown.

Brooklands airstrip is a nasty surface.

My mate used to take his rally car up there and make up a track using part strip, part dirt around the strip.

right, we haven't booked the airfeild (cause my mate couldn't be bothered) so we'll just turn up and see what happens (due to there being too many people turning up).

If we can't get onto the runway then there are places to go around the airfeild.

Last time we went we had permission to go in so this time we'll ask and see what they say (unlikely if shit loads of us turn up).

Otherwise we'll just go to the other places, it's an airfield, there are loads of places scattered around unguarded other than the runway.

Whatever happens, there will be somewhere to go.
