I'm currently riding my brother's old CBR125R bike. unfortunately whist trying to manoeuvre it round the multi-story at work and into the parking space I dropped it against a concrete pillar (who put those in car parks I'll never know) and it now has a large dent in the fuel tank. As I'm hopefully going to do my DAS soon and buy a bigger bike I'm after getting this one fixed. I'm not sure if it's fixable or if I'm going to have to get a new fuel tank. Can any body advise me of any decent mechanics in the Bolton, Bury or North Manchester area. After my brother damaged his new bike at a track day he took it to ESB in Bolton and we were not impressed with them. He told them what work he wanted to be done but they did more. Sorry I'm a bit out of my depth with bike mechanics.

If it's a dented tank, it's far easier just to replace it than repair it. Ring round breakers' yards... CBR125's tend to turn up a lot - popular beginners' bike also makes it one of the most crashed...

It depends on how big your 'big dent' is as to whether it is viable to fix, but like Marci says it may be easier just to source a replacement tank. Thumbs Up

Ive seen a lot of panels and tanks etc, on ebay recently, keep an eye out, like marci said, people crash them all the time being a beginner bike, so there should be one around soon.
