Depends on condition, whether there's any service history, what state the tyres, chain and sprocket is in, when the last major service items were done, etc. If it's belonged to a school, it might have had a tough life. It might have been someone's trusty commuting tool, and had extra oil changes. Can't really say on just mileage and year.

Its had 2 new tyres. Chain and sprockets look good. Serviced only a year ago.

Loads of paperwork, old MOTS, receipts etc.

I think £625 is too low then - I'd expect around £7-750.

I agree with Shaggy, I'd go up to around £800 based on what I saw when checking them out.

55,000 is nothing on that engine. Tax'd and tested for a year with two new tires, along with a chain and sprocket swop.

If you do get it for £625 you've gotten a bargain.

Have a good look and a good listen to the bike, preferably with another knowledgeable person (to either encourage or dissuade you.)

Honda engines these days can run to some pretty high mileages if taken care of, but be very wary if you don't know the history of the bike: They are very popular with Bike Schools and Despatch Riders.

What's wrong with ex-dispatch bikes? Even ex-training school bikes can be ok.

If peoples livelihood depends on a bike working, they tend to keep it in quite good condition.

Ok, if the school or courier is getting rid of it cos it's knackered, then it really is knackered, but if the school is closing down or courier is giving up there's some bargains to be had.

School near me has just closed, and the bikes sold off are high mileage but in beautiful condition.

i think ebay is a better price guide than parkers
just watch a few similar bikes and see what they go for

If it's in good nick id suggest what the others said, around £700/750.

A lot of people buy them for their first big bike.

99% or so of people like to haggle too so id put the price up a little to get what you really want for it Smile

Some dizzies look after their bikes. Some ride them into the ground. Some disconnect the speedo cable to keep the mileage down. If a bike is working well and can be kept on the road economically, dizzies and schools would keep them. They tend to put them up for sale when they start costing too much to service or fix. Most school bikes have been dropped at least once.

Yes, there may be the odd bargain but all I am doing is recommending caution.
