insurance for bikes bought off ebay?

i believe if you buy a car off ebay one of the big insurance companies does free insurance for 7 days, does anyone know if this is true for bikes too?

Do a search. Someone posted a link a week or so back for a couple of insurance companies that do a weeks free 3rd party insurance.

nice one Kal, just searched and found the site, will bear it in mind if i get the bike i'm looking at tomorrow!

oh and there isn't an actual company doing it off ebay for bikes, but norwich union advertise on there for cars if anyones intrested.

Most bike insurance companies should give you a cover slip to get the bike home with. Just ring them up and explain the situation.
