Oh I love my nsr, but its just gone past the 9,000 miles mark, and i was told rebuilds should be done at 10,000.
I am posting this almost in an attempt for people to say your bike is young and has loads of life left, and to hear other people's NSR mileage without rebuilds because i couldnt afford a rebuild at the moment, better off getting a bigger bike....kind of.

me NS has done ?27,000? sorry, can't say when it's last rebuild was, but it wasn't before 25,000. depends how you've used it. If you've ragged it around, I'd rebuild incase, but if not, wouldn't worry about it yet.

You could squeeze another 1000 km out of it quite safely if it hasn't been derestricted. A top end rebuild (including new piston) only costs about £75-£100 if you DIY it. Get on over to www.125ccsportsbikes.com if you need any help.

At that mileage i'd suspect it only needs new rings, Which would be about £20-40 to replace.

On Cagivas, rings are done every 8,000 miles and a piston every 16,000 miles.
