Been ringing around insurance companys today,for quotes for a 2006 gilera ice (brand new). highest i got was £1000 odd fully comp,and lowest was £242 for third party. Stuff paying for fully comp,and even third party still seems slightly steep,i was told insurance could be had for £150-200. Have you guys got any other options i can try,i.e good companys..cheap quotes & that. Would be grateful. Thankyou.

sorry, but there are no 'good companys', just ring, ring and ring again, you got to play them off each other, ring different ones and say the last one offered xx amount, but if your cheeky say their offer was £20-30 quid lower than it was, can work for you

truslack,not really fussed about the karma matey. i 'was' abit of a cunt (still debatable) but i feel i have changed,and am not so 'cuntish' now? (again,still debatable). would like to be a more valuable member of the forum now,seeing as im coming up to getting on the road,and would like to take a backseat and learn.

Have a look on www.theAA.com, I used them and got insurance for third party fire and theft quite cheap. Only problem is for the cheapest quotes they find it is usually a very high excess.
