im thinking about getting a new visor for my agv helmet and i was wondering if anyone has the rainbow (road legal one) https://www.racevisors.co.uk/index.cfm/view_id/4/details/true/code/V-AGV-GT

and any information about it... like does it help with sun glare... can you eyes be seen from the outside etc etc

(the standard rainbow visor and the flat race rainbow visor has 2 different pictures aswell Neutral )

Won't help with glare, your eyes will be able to be seen from the outside but only close up. Personally I would just get black, don't get damaged as easily and good for glare. IMO irridium style visors are so 1980's. Thumbs Down

And... Doesn't that make Black visors even older, they're sooo like 1970's. Wink Laughing

So what makes these 'rainbow' visors legal then? I thought basically anything other than a clear or a light tint was illegal?

The visor must meet certain standards to be road-legal. One of them is the amount of light that's able to pass though, and it's this that makes dark visors illegal.

As long as the visor is approved, and it'll be marked on it if it is, then it's road legal.

Oh yes, I certainly wouldn't wear sunglasses with my helmet - I have a dark visor and use it.

In fact when a friend crashed and did himself a lot of damage, he was lucky not to lose an eye to his sunglasses - the copper who came to visit him in hospital suggested he really ought to use a dark visor instead as it's safer.

Dark visors are a good thing in my opinion - pity the government doesn't Confused

Are you quite sure about the message your "rainbow" visor may be putting out...?
