insurance for off the road bikes

hokie.. if i bought a 400 now with the intention of "doing it up" is there a insurance you can get to cover it from fire and thief.

bearing in mind i will not be riding it on the road as i dont have a full bike licence and am only 16 (so therefore cant get normal insurance if you see where im going with it)

Talk to whoever covers you home insurance wise.

On the theft front, I'd get a ground anchor and a big lock. Although to be fair, the chances of a loss on a bike that is a project is minimal really.

I wouldn't be wasting my money on insurance for it.
