Every time I forward a port on my wireless router (Netgear wgu624), in order to get results using SLSK, my router seems to fuck up, as in the connection completely dies, and I have to reset the modem and router in order to regain my connection.

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light as to why?

Some routers simply have a hard time handling the sheer traffic involved in a fast P2P setup. My old Belkin job was fine most of the time, but fire up a torrent and it'd be frozen like a rabbit in headlights inside of 40 minutes. Had endless problems of a similar nature with the last Netgear box I tried, ended up returning it and spending a few more quid on a D-link DGL4300, had no problems at all since. It's great, no more direct cabling the download box overnight Mr. Green

Yeh, seems to be the case, direct cabled other night, no problems.
