Hi,

After some advice on gear indicators. Was wondering which is better - Acumen or Datatool? And that some people say that they are a piece of piss to install and others say that they are a nightmare? Anyone got any ideas??

Cheers,

Dan

either will do the job and there both easy to fit. if you havnt got digital clocks you need the retro fit kit with the speed sensor. then you just whack the bike on a paddock stand and teach the display the gears.

i have a translogic dash, now that was a bastard to wire in but the gear reader was easy to do.

I keep thinking about getting one of these but wish I just haggled the dealer to include and fit one as part of the deal when I got my current bike.

Got one for the CBR and have half decided to not fit it due to the cables not fully matching the description in the instructions... really dont want to cut the wroung ones.... Shocked

Seen datatool ones in use and they work really well, and once fitted are easy to set up.... Thumbs Up

Which one was it that you bought? As I am getting one was it the Acumen that you had to cut wires?? I also would not want to do that
