Hi

Day 1 Friday Practice
Practice went well, started off doing 1:23's/1:24's, but only managed to get it down to 1:22 no matter what i seemed to do. Wasn't helped by slow 600's passing you on the straight then holding you up in the corners, grrr Evil or Very Mad .

Day 2 Saturday Race day

Race 1
Started 10th on the grid, got an excellent start, was running 4th for a while, holding onto the shirt tails of the leaders, but the top 3 soon got away, about on the 4th lap got overtaken, but stayed with him, made a few attempts to get passed but just couldn't make it stick, on the last lap he messed up the last chicane, I thought that I would get him with the drive out the corner, but I had lost concentration, and I was in the wrong gear, so just missed out on a 4th place. Ended with 5th Clubman, 3rd rookies. I was so pleased, yet disappointed to no have got that 1 extra place.

Race 2
5th on the grid, 2nd row. Again an excellent start, was 3rd into the 1st corner, not much time to think about "OMG I'm in 3rd" just tried to hold onto the front 2 guys who are damn fast. Lost a position soon after, so was running in 4th keeping up with the leaders. At some point in the race 3rd and 2nd had a coming together, and 1 went off. OMG im in 3rd again, and 1st rookie. I was just keeping up with the leaders, but not enough to try and pass, I was just making sure that no one came past me, the checkered flag couldn't come quick enough. As I went over the line I was shaking my fist going mental in my helmet, I couldn't believe it, the feeling was immense, I was like a loony, pulled a big wheelie down the back straight the adrenalin and pure joy was amazing, I so want that feeling again!

Que presentations in the bar, with trophy hats and garlands, didn't like it much, I'm not the most outgoing person in the world.

I think i may still have been smiling after I fell asleep Smile

Day 3 Race day #2

Race 3
3rd on the grid, front row, looks nice Very Happy. Got a great start (seemed to be getting good at them) got the lead into the 1st corner, but was 3rd coming out of it Mr. Green. Got overtaken again, the front 2 had fecked off but was running well in 4th.
Red flag

Bad accident at the bomb hole, 2 guys had to be taken off by ambulance, think 1 may have a fractured verterbra.

Got a crap restart was running about 6th on the 1st lap, then someone behind me ballsed up russels chicane, I had to basically stop as to not hit him, not only did he get passed but I lost a couple more places, I was much faster than the guys in front but again lack of bottle meant I didn't make any more places up.

Finished 9th in club man, 6th rookie. Obviously disappointed especially with my doses of bad luck and success from the say before, but still a hefty amount of points in the bag and I didn't crash.

Race 4
Back on the 3rd row of the grid, like being at home Razz. Again a great start, running 5th, 3rd rookie, was quite settled and held it for a few laps. At around like 3/4 of 7, went into a right hander and realized "fuck i haven't actually braked half enough for this corner" kind of went straight on, luckily they have a bit of concrete run off at the beginning of revvit straight, by the end of the straight I had lost 4 places, Doh!.

Luckily (for me anyway) the guy in front then himself went straight on at the next corner, managed to actually overtake people in the race, and made up 2 more places.

Finished 6th, 4th in rookies. Obviously very annoyed at throwing away a 3rd place, but better than last race weekend and stayed on the track, and managed to get another good set of points. Have to say the bike was top notch and was 3rd/4th fastest down the straights which help me get a good set of extra places, thanks for the engine work G Thumbs Up

Was a great weekend, and way exceeded my expectations and have a couple of lovely trophy's, can't wait for Cadwell, though now my sights are set even higher, just hope I don't get too disappointed if I don't do so well.

Thanks again to Cassy, Bendy and G, without them I wouldn't have been able to have achieved what I have done, and thanks again to swaffs for his excellent photography as usual, and Adam for more excellent PR work again, think I may be having a chat with Carl Foggerty on the radio, thanks to him Shocked .

Hi
Yes was VERY nice, I cant get a club man 1st trophy, so 1st rookie is the best place I can get, although not technically true.

Ive done cadders twice, its a lovely circuit, very technical and neigh on impossible to get right all the way round. I like it, and did ok when I was there on an NC30 top half of an inters trackday. This track might sort some of the men form the boys Smile

We'll have to see in 2 weeks time Very Happy

Both you and G looked like you were doing well Luke. I was camped on T1 for a while, and got a few pics from the crappy side of the fence. My mate also did well, grabbing top rookie and clubman in superstock 400's. #70, max (dont know his last name.) great looking '35 he has too.
Will post pics when they load.

I did pop by there on my way back to my bike after the second 400 race, but no-one appeared to be in the garage.

Sad

That's ages away yet, it'll have been shown on tv by then! Speaking of, any idea when that's going to be on?

Shaun, yet again you've been ignoring my sig. Rolling Eyes

For the non-pikeys out there (who don't have Sky), I'll be putting the races up on the TTC website as well, just have to wait til they've been broadcast first.

Thanks AJ and yes Bendy, guess what, I still don't read the crap people put in their sigs. Razz

Not my fault if yours is one of the few informative ones, if there were more of them about then maybe I'd read them.

Excellent ride Luke. Got my first trophy at Brands this weekend so know exactly how you felt!!! Running wide on Sears is so easy, you use that bit of extra tarmac over the white line and then some and it's still not quite enough!
Looks like you could have a top season . . . .
