Apologies in advance, as I'm sure that some people will rate this as spam instead as the informative post as it is. Rolling Eyes My connection with GB2 is that as I've bought my gear from them, I'm on their mailing list, so I am not an employee of the shop.

In case any lady bikers are planning a shopping trip this weekend, GB2 have an open weekend in their Highgate shop.

You all probably already know that GB2 is quite possibly the best place for the lady biker to get proper bike gear with armour and in other colours, not just pink.

GB2 now have shops all over the country (see locations here) and have bike gear exclusively made for them and they cater for women of all sizes and shapes. A lot of the trousers come in three lengths (short, standard, long) and sizes go from zero to 20+.

This weekend is a special 'Start of Season' promotion at Girlsbike2 in Highgate. A lot of new lines are now in store, including:

- Frank Thomas vented leather trousers (available in a short leg version)
- Frank Thomas 2-piece race suits
- GB2 leather trouser (available in a short leg version)
- On fire casual clothing
- Richa Karina Leather Jacket
- Spidi JK-Tex Jacket
- Oxtar SS-Performance Race boot

There will be special offers and complimentary wine and soft drinks. Also details are available about the exclusive Girlsbike2 Track Day in July.

Opening times are:

Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday: 11am-4pm

North London store

Streetmap location

Address:
228 Archway Road,
Highgate,
London,
N6 5AX.

Telephone Number:
0208 340 6503
(available during shop opening times)

Honestly, wish I had one! I get a 10% discount, that's all, as I swing by every so often to check out the merchandise.

It's just so annoying that it's still quite difficult for women to get gear, especially if they're not perfect size 10 and tall, as well as want everything in pink and with no hip armour (some manufacturers apparently claim that women don't want hip armour, as it makes their bums look big).

When I was looking for gear, I was sent from one shop to another, and could only find men's stuff, which doesn't really work for anybody with hips or boobs, as you have to buy gear to accommodate those areas, so they end up being big everywhere else. Not only, but if you're only 5'3", you can't even get men's stuff, and I'm too big to fit into little girls' gear. Luckily somebody told me of GB2, which then was only in Hitchin, but now they're all over the place.

So, I'm on a mission to get every female biker out of pink gear! Laughing

Don't be silly. This can't be spam unless it has the word 'cialis' in it.

Just out of curiosity Paivi - any idea if they've any intention of opening a shop anywhere in Ireland? Female bikers over here have feck-all choice in gear too! Even up North would be more easily accessable than mainland UK.

Yes, they are looking for people to set up shop in Ireland, and elsewhere on the continent. They don't set up shops themselves, from now on, it'll be on a franchise basis, and they are very much hoping to get a few shops opened in Ireland. So, if you somebody who'd be interested, here's how to get involved.

My girlfriend is actively searching for a pink leather jacket Laughing . She already has a Pink and black helmet and pink and black gloves. But some decent sized trousers for her would be good (she's 5'1"). Shame GB2 have completely ignored the fact that the North of England exists Rolling Eyes .

What you waiting for.... Get involved Your home location would be a prime place for that type of store. All them rich *itches, that just love their leather..... Alos nicely placed in the middle of the north and ripe to catch a lot of the dales traffic.
