Today whenever Ive come to a halt with a reasonable amount of rear brake ive heard a loud screach/squeal type noise. Im NOT locking the wheel, and it only does it at very slow speeds. The pads are new acoupla hundred miles ago and ive not head it before today - the only time ive been out in the wet with these pads. Ive just checked the disk and it seems to be a bit scored. I cant see anything in the caliper tho.

hi, I have the same problem with my bike.
They always make that horrible sound when they are cold and when there is water hanging in the sky. When it's good weather and they are cold, it doesnt even give a sound....
It are probably the materials that shrink/expand nothing to worry about

i hate gay noises

my back brake goes "CLICK!" when i engage it, i only hear it when im off the throttle and rolling, cos the 2 stroke noise drowns it out, but its pity damn annoying

and the mudguard rubs and makes a shit load of noise in the wet, how important is the back mudguard you guys reckon? could i get away with removing it

That click will be the brake light switch. I get that on my front brake too.
