I saw a really odd thing tonight.

I was on my way to Asda in the car, roof down, music on, taking my time, moved over to let a guy on a 125 race rep (on Ls) overtake me cos he was obviously desperate to. He's heading towards Asda too so now I am pootling along behind him and the bit of road we're on has at least 4 roundabouts between where he went past and Asda.

So first one he slows down, changes gear, then MOVES HIS FEET TO THE EDGE OF THE PEGS (BOTH SIDES) AND POINTS HIS TOES SO THAT THEY TOUCH DOWN AS HE MAKES THE TURNS!

I am like WTF? Shocked Shocked I mean I've seen the niutters on peds who go round corners with a leg stuck out like they are doing speedway but I've never seen anyone try to get a boot down on a roundabout before! Maybe I imagine dit and it was just the way he was leaning? So I make sure I am right behind him for the next one and he does tha same again, changes down, moves feet, toes down. Confused All 4 roundabouts.

I'm thinking "all it would take is a bump in the road or a pebble or something and he's off that" so I go into mum mode and resolve to have a word with him when we get into Asda. Unfortunately by the time I have parked up I've lost him and I can't see him in the store anywhere.

I'm still shaking my head about it now. What a loony!

that's a bit silly.

like you say, one bump or pothole and it's all over.

Are you telling us you have a shit car that is flashy but can't catch Chav on a 125? Laughing Karma

I take my sliders and boots into work and give them a seein' too with the angle grinder much safer.

Don't think he was. He had proper gear on, proper boots etc. Nice little bike, just really odd thing to do on roundabouts!

No I have a car which can be quite shit-hot when I choose to be but I was taking my time and it probably made his day to overtake a "sports" car lol!

Ouch, i would hate to see him keep that bad habit onto a more powerful bike.. broken ankle anyone?

Although if he gets training before his test they should get it sorted..

because he would still be a person who could mess up, and inflict his stupidity onto others.

Babyam never said her car was shit and she couldn't keep up, but that she pulled over to let him squeeze past. Thumbs Up

also, he might have done it to find ground, so he doesn't lean it too far(I did it for about a week when I first got my sports bike)because the whole concept of a sports bike was new, and the last thing I wanted was to drop in the middle of taking a roundabout.

As has previously been pointed out, one pothole and he's not going to do it again.

He's probably seen Troy Bayliss making his toe sliders spark on the track and thinks it looked cool so he would do it too.

Anyone want to tell him Plastic doesn't spark....... Laughing

That reminds me.

Things I must do today:

Completley re-think my methods of learning how to do things.

i.e. Do things that are dangerous, ineffective and which look stupid.

(And for the record.
babyyam is hot therefor anything driven by babyyam becomes as Hot Cool )
