section 59 warning, the copper who last pulled me was going to take my bike because i already had one, he then decided he didnt have time and would take me to court instead. Thumbs Down

so this means you have to behave although what you did wasnt illegal so get on the phone to them, they must have caught you on cctv say the bike broke down so you where pushing it home.

lol hope you asked for a copy of the photo, they will most likely say you were riding it. i love it when they take photos of people to try and back stuff up, i bet 1000 quid if they take a photo of me i can fit his camera up his own ass so he cant get it to the police Evil or Very Mad

dont worry about it - i dont think the police would bother with such a petty thing - but then again they might arrest you and give you 10 years - british justice is a joke anyway!!!

Just say you were "walking the bike" because you dong have a dog and consider it a " living creature". Shouldn't be much of an issue unless they have photographic proof that you were RIDING your bike through the park, which you weren't doing.

I think you're allowed to push your bike on a public path anyway because i pushed my bike along a busy pavement in london for about a mile and a bit past some bobbies on the beat and a squad car - nothing done? Just because it's a park shouldn't make it much different because it's still a public byway?

It'll probably say

"congratulations for not buying a dog - choosing to walk your motorcycle will mean less park maintenance as it will not shit along paths and piss on trees Karma Thumbs Up "

We are so sorry for causing you hassle Wink

it's a technicality, but a technicality all the same, albeit a stupid one.

Motorcycles can't be 'driven' on pavements and footpaths, and pushing a motorcycle or scooter still qualifies as 'driving'. You should also have been wearing your helmet Rolling Eyes

I know I know... but that's the 'letter of the law'

told you it was stupid.

Now, I was always under the impression that if you were pushing the bike, you were classed as a pedestrian?

Parkies are all like that anyway. It's called 'peaked cap syndrome'. The only place you'll encounter worse is with the attendant of a council rubbish tip.

The police wont be in the slightest bit interested, especially when they find that you a) weren't riding it and b) have a licence and insurance.

What you should have done is wait for him to have his rant then say "Pardon?"

After he's repeated himself say "I heard you the first time." in as sarcastic a manner as you can. Then stand back and watch the steam coming out of his ears, works every time. I saw my wee brother do it with a bus driver who took exception to where he'd parked, I swear the guy was about to either thump him or have a heart attack.

I think you should do the responsible thing and inform the police

"imagine my surprise when pushing my ped along a public footpath when i was accosted by 3 men intent on striking up a conversation and taking photographs after emerging from the bushes. My concern is that the area is frequented by many children and i can see no explainatory reason for this behaviour. Is this park a known paedophile/homo sexual haunt?"

Complain to your council about the abusive and aggressive manner in which three of their employees acted. Then as part of the data protection act demand copies of the photos taken. If it happens again you do not have to give any details, you don't have to stop either. They could detain you if you were doing an arrestable offence and then call the police but they will not have been trained to do so. You will need to ask the Council if they have a SIA qualification in the use of surveillance equipment ( as that is what a camera is doing ) if they have not then it is they who are committing an offence. Just complain and complain some more to the council. Nothing much will happen but it may put old Parky on the back foot.
