I hope this is not a repost.

"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Abolish Road Fund License for Motorcycles, Scooters, Mopeds, tricycles and Motor cars under 1000cc, to actively promote their use to help bring about a reduction in carbon emissions, and wear and tear on the road infrastructure."

Might of considered signing it if I bothered to tax my bikes.

Did someone not just say they wished there was a petition to not sign any petitions?

Despite the relatively low carbon emissions though, bikes aren't exactly healthy to the atmosphere compared to a 1l car. I'm not going round saying 'I ride a bike because it's good for the enviroment', because I'd sound like a knob jockey and be wrong to boot.

Oh, and I won't sign the petition because the road pricing one didn't do any good, so this one definitely won't.

It's a tax and no one os going to stop this tax. Easy to collect, easy to justify and they can have it and tax you even more somewhere else for the same vehicle.

I'll vote but only if there's an increase in fuel duty to compensate...if you use it you pay for it!

Please stick with petitions that have some hope of having an effect. All of these pointless petitions are getting on my nerves.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

This was a idea around 20 years ago and the bike lobby mob kicked up such a stink over it as they thought it was anti biker... I think they were saying something like a extra 20p per gallon at that time.
Now i bet it would be 20p per ltr......
When you look at the £££ it is bikers who will end up out of pocket.

You missed out and avoided by many road users. If they placed a extra bit on fuel to replace it.
A, It could not be avoided.
B, Would cost no extra to collect.
C, Save a lot of ££ as you could get rid of a lot of CS's who administer the current tax.
D, Make going to the post office a far quicker task for a few days at the end and start of each month.

Second.

This digital democracy thing I keep hear people spouting on about is a loud of wank anyway. Road pricing petition got 1,000,000 + signatures and all we got was an email saying I don't care what you think I'm doing it anyway.

What's the point. Lets just sit tight and wait for civil war.

I'd vote to stop Sun readers having access to that petition site. It might stop them spamming the bejasus out of BCF with their garbage.

Power to the people? Suck my festering fat one.

I'll 3rd it. there is absolutely no point AT ALL in the petitions they haven't achieved anything so far and realistically I can't see it swinging anything anyone's way but those who pocket from it. Thumbs Down

EDIT, just noticed it was Marjay & Big_ham Laughing
