Why is the NSR so smokey????

hi

Can anyone tell me why the NSR is so smokey??? or is it just my bike?

When ever i start it up in the morning the biggest cloud of white smoke bellows out! after i get going its allright.

Any one else had similar problems with their bikes??

They all are. 2 strokes are smokey when cold. 'Tis just the nature of the beast.

It's not a problem.
Just the oil being burn't up.

Normal on 2 stroke engines,. the problem stars when it doesn't smoke from starting...

i thought it was the bike too till i found out thats what 2 strokes are like

keep on choke for few mins then let it idle normally

How old is the bike??
The expansion chamber may have a residue of unburnt oil that can be removed - prolly in the service manual - you can usually remove the baffle and clean that separately too. If you do alot of town riding, the plug may be oily too. A good high speed run will help, or try a new plug. Has the smoke got worse over time???

Try a different 2stroke oil for a change.....

Not trying to alarm you, just considering options.............
