Mr. Green Laughing hello to all, im taking my bike in for a mot i have removed the back foot pags and put a single seat cover on. would it pass the mot.or would i have to put the foot pags back on for the mot?

What he said ^^. As long as it has a single seat, you don't need pillion pegs.

If it has a dual seat, pillion pegs are required.

Oddly, there is no requirement for a seat for the pillion, just foot restraints. You could have pillion pegs and no seat if you so desired.

Take the front pegs off and it will still pass.

it will depend on the tester

i recently had an mot test for a bike that was missing a pillion peg. i deliberately took it to a lenient place to help it pass

one of my pillion pegs broke off, and i havent gotten round to gettin a new one. i have bodged one together using an old rearset footrest, bolted onto the pillion peg hanger. its not the most safe looking thing, but my GF says its actually more comfortable and has less vibrations than the standard one. would this pass?
