The Acer sponsorship looses it for me.

I work in IT and associate Acer with mediocrity.

Mediocrity? Have they improved that much, then? Laughing

prefer the stock 2006 r1.. prefer it over the new one too which looks a little less sofisticated and more 98 r1 ish.. tis a backwards step I feel.. but hell like I'll ever own one before bikes are unaffordable/restricted/no petrol <-- take your pick

the thing that puts me off with 'up to date' livery is like the camel scheme they did last year. Looks all nice but a year old bike and its blatently the old model. Unlike 06 models in normal colours you see about and dont realise unless you know the nitty gritty changes between yearly models and see the reg plate

then again i ride a 13yr old bike

Don't like the look of the lower bracing on the swingarm.

Reckon I'd be bottoming the b*tch out in no time Sad ( after i cut the footpegs in half)

Let it shine Cool

I wouldn't buy a race rep over a standard paint job, it just makes them look dated and harder to sell in afew years time.

It least with a Repsol the continue to sponsor and therefore age better and I do like the repsol colour scheme. When I bought my bike I had the choice of a blue movistar!!!!!!
Nooooo thanks, cost £300 quid more too.
This years Repsol fireblade costs the same as a normal fireblade and the frame/swingarm are metal rather than black so won't look as mucky so quickly
