Hello

Just wondered if anyone knew of anybody who makes a slipper clutch for an F4i?

Sigma say an rr one will fit but requires making up spacers to go in the plate stack and also a spacer to move the cover out to make more space for the clutch.

Cheers

Dave

wouldn't have thought a 600cc 4 would have enough engine braking to need one, if it's being ridden properly anyway

Are you racing it?

If not then I can't see you'd need the extra weight and complexity. The latest 600RR doesn't have one.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

It's for the guys at work who have a F4i engined formula student race car. I've been over to watch them test and when they slam it down through the gears coming into bends they tend to briefly lock the rears which then starts the back end of the car hopping!

k6 600 comes with one.

how much of that is due to NEEDING one, as opposed to a marketing tool to make it more attractive to the Rossi-wannabe-powerranger-sunday-squad who THINK they need it?

I have to say I'm rather fond of mine. Don't make use of it on the road but it's nice on the track.
