As it stands now, NovaMuncher (the real Mike Norrington) has identified the prat who's been coming on here and posting drivel as somebody he knows from school.

The consensus is that guest posting should remain (besides he's tried creating a user account already) so we're left with the option of putting up with the crap or banning the entire school (62.171.194.*) which would take care of the troll but would unfortunatly deny NovaMuncher access as well.

Unless NovaMuncher can give me the name of this prat and a contact number for his parent(s) or teacher(s) I'll be forced to put the ban in place, his abusive posting is getting out of hand now and we shouldn't have to put up with this crap.

Doesn't he have a pc at home ?
if he does then maybe a school ban would be a good idea.
Otherwise i personally don't mind putting up with the crap for the sake of one good member(NovaMuncher).
Maybe a couple more moderators that can delete offending posts is the way to go ?
I personally trawl the forum during working hours.
the only other thing is if they appear again, an e-mail to yourself from whoevers watching the forum in the day maybe the way to go.

Im with phil on this one - its not fair on nova, and the rest of the school, to ban him just cuz of one prick.

Another coupla moderators would be a good way to go. I know thares quite a few of us on here al throughout the day and im sure no one would mind. I know I wouldnt.

Korn - maybe if you contact the school then we can leave it up to them to find out who it is and sort it out. All we need from Nova is the name of the school and a contact no.

well if it's anything like our old school their firewall consists of a pile of bricks, a bottle of petrol and a box of matches, seriously though if nova muncher tells the school who it is im sure they will deal with him rather than add the site to their ban list??

I'm sure their school has intenet regulations and standards. Our school did and anyone caught sending e-mails with ppor punctuation, capital letters etc had their internet pass confiscated.

So if you did reprt him to the school then this would probably be what happens. No need to tell them that anyone else uses the site, or even what site it is. Just provide the evidence. I dunno.

Right guys give me a week and if the crap continues then ban the whole school i can sacrifice myself for the sake of mankind. No not really i have the internet at home and just use the school becuase i am here most of the time.
