Anyone know if there's a way to by-pass some of the blocks that companies sometimes put on their networks?

Explain to your network administrator that you need to browse the sites in question, and that you'd appreciate them kindly lifting the restriction, just for you.

I'm sure that'll work.

If not, offer them oral sex in exchange.

what he said,

these sites all have a common function and most proxy servers ( internet at work will have these banned).

What you need is a tunneling software which will litterally do what it says. You will need to have admin to install and configure on the pc.

Alternatively ask the IT guys, or forget about it. Thumbs Up

I used to get round it by having a secure proxy (Ie, https:// ) link. Only problem was, it was very slow. Not really sure how it worked though, asked my mate how to get round and it worked. Laughing
