Yep, had him Laughing

there I am on the motorway about 1 mile away from my cut-off when I see up ahead a car with LED rear lights and moving about pretty quick so opened the throttle and tried to close the gap to get a closer look at it and see what it was but I wasn't closing in on him fast enough and my cut-off was now about 1/4mile away and I gave up thinking it was just some crap rep mobile. I got to my cut off and had one last look in its direction to see what it was and low and behold it was a Porsche Carrera. I had about 1second to make up my mind whether or not I was going after it in the hope he'd take the bait and have a bit of fun. I thought "f**k it, it’s only another few miles to the next cut off and I can make my way home that way" so I went after him and closed in on him like a heat seeking missile, before I could even get along side him to try and bait him into a bit of fun he was off!! The 911's spoiler started to extend and we must have started from about 100mph so the bikes power to weight advantage was almost gone.
I honestly thought that starting a race from a roll at this sort of speed against performance car like a 911 would leave me for dead but did it fook!! I dropped it to 4th and pinned the throttle and I started to reel him and then I passed him. Now before any of you say "he wasn't going for it" he certainly was! the way it was moving and the noise from it was fantastic but I wasn’t there to listen to it and I kept on the throttle making my way up the rest of the gearbox, I looked down at the speedo for a brief moment and seen I was at 165 and then a quick glance in the mirror showed me that he was about 200 yards back and then my exit was upon me and that was playtime over. While on the slip road I noticed the Porsche had taken the same exit and driver gave me a quick wave as he drove along side me and we went our separate ways.

So what did you get up to tonight then? Laughing

Not as boring as polishing it all day. Wink

A 911 was the closest i've come to an even match on the zxr. Not sure exactly what model it was as they nearly all look the same, just that it was a recent turbo model. It was surprisingly quick, neck and neck from 40mph up to 160.

My mate and I passed a police car doing 160 on the new Loch Lomond road....

We just carried on gunning it until we got to Luss and pulled in there and hid down the back of the car park...

After about 10 minutes and two ciggies we heading down the road at a very sedate pace.. just in case... Embarassed

It was nice to stretch the bikes legs a bit..... Twisted Evil

prety much similar to me, wouldn't normaly post it but what the hell.

Two up with cog head on the rear near to home on a brill stretch of dual cariage way, came to the rear of a corvette, very nice motor with a great howl from the exhaust, he nailed it to the car in front of him so he was up for the crack. The car moved to inside lane and we were off. He bailed out at about 130ish but i kept the needle in the red line from 3rd though to 5th and into 6th before shutting down for my junction. 145 was reached with the corvette no where to be seen.
It's not often you get a chance of some real sport so seize the moment while you can and enjoy it! Thumbs Up Laughing

The VFR gave a normal carerra a run for its money. It was his fault, I was just bimbling past on a dual carriageway when I heard him change down and floor it.

Well, we can't have that now can we? I just wound-on, keeping slightly ahead of him. He bottled it at 140.

Saw a Porsche GT3 on the way to Middleton last week, they have a gorgeous noise, makes a change from the crappy bog standard ones that are all too common round here.

Plus i think they look stunning https://www.porsche.com/uk/models/911/911-gt3/gallery/

Isn't it funny how you can be happily riding along with no intention of going fast when a car does something like that and you just have to put them down a peg or two!!! Why is that?? hehe! Laughing

It clearly is the cars fault. I can have every intention in the world to drive/ride slowly and in a fuel conserving manner then out of the blue some chav in a corsa/pink-shirted "Fat cat" in his audi blast bast and you just can't resist.

Got to keep these people in their place... firmly behind your vehicle!

Been down the A3 next to a ferrari 360 up to 173 (on the speedo), im sure he could have got away but i guess he thought 173 was fast enough (Pussy!). That was in a straight line but was not boring, its mad when your going that fast and everything is flying past so fast but their is a farrari next too you witch appears standing still.

Not for me.

The small amount of riding-time I have to spend on bypasses is usually spent riding near the legal limit. Riders/cars wanting to go faster can go as fast as they like, I'd rarely give chase. I'm happy to be patient and wait for a backroad before I unleash a few more mph's.

I didnt want to dredge up this story again, but back when id recently got my cbr 6 (ie not very good on it) i was hacking down my favourite bikey road (a507).

Now this was before id actually dynojetted the bugger, on macadams, on a 10 year old 600. Saw a black 911 up ahead, and the twat decided to offside around one of the corners, narrowly avoiding a group of bikers.

So i thought fuck it, and stayed right up the cunts arse (well close enough to make the point without being to close to dodge if he slammed anchors) for fucking miles. He continued all his swapping lane bollocks and was repeatedly flooring it. I saw that little stupid spoiler come up and down far too much.

And whilst i didnt bother to overtake him, i was having piss all difficulty just sitting behind him, flicking it through the corners one handed while waving at him.

In the end the pleb pulled into a layby and wouldnt leave until id moved on Twisted Evil

Fast for a car it may be, fun for drifting too. But fast on our terms...

No.

Surely that is more to do with driver skill, as you refer to a twisty battle, not a high speed roll-on drag race.

That "stupid" spoiler is there to stop the pendulum-like rear end overtaking the front. As for cutting the corners, i'll happily get my right hand tyres within centimetres of the kerb if i can see round the bend, just as i would cut the corner on the bike. I'm sure many people on here totally ignore road markings when it suits.

It sounds more like the driver was using the opposite side of the road even when he couldn't see if it was safe to do so:
