...........is still on going. Been really busy with it and haven't posted here for ages so thought I would update.

I took my Bandit 1200 engine out of the bike and after a thourough degrease was stripped down cleaned throughout and serviced. All new gaskets and O-rings were purchased and after a lick of paint I rebuilt it. I have put in some GSXR 1100K Cams for a little extra poke.

I then stripped the Carbs down gave them a clean and then rebuilt them with a Stage 3 DynoJet Kit inside. I also test fitted the Hi-Flo Pod Air Filters to make sure they were the right size.

I had an engineering firm make up some Nitrous Oxide Adaptors to save me drilling and tapping the head for the NOS foggers. The NOS Nitrous Oxide Bottle & Bracket and Fuel Pump were looking a bit shabby so I stripped and painted them too, still waiting on my new NOS decal for the bottle to arrive from the states. I stripped and painted the 6 Pot Calipers, the Shock Linkage, Brake Discs and engine mounts.

I re-polished the 1100 Slingshot Frame and JMC Drag arm for a bit of extra bling. My Front end is off at the anodisers being turned from Gold to Black.

And I will start painting the bodywork soon.

On top of that I have purchased the following : Extra Wide 19 Row Oil Cooler with Lines, HEL extra Wide Cooler bracket, Harris Rear Sets, Billet Risers, E=MC Race Shock, Polished Engine Cases, Drag Bars, Kwak Z1000 Headlight Fairing, Renthal Bars and Grips, All new Nitrous and Fuel Lines, Levers, Harris Carbon Fibre Mudguard, and more stuff that I can't remember right now.

So once the front end comes back I will start the ground up rebuild and should hopefully have it running on the road and down the strip by the summer.

The bike when I bought it:

Thanks for all the positive comments guys.

Currently running clip ons but not sure If I will will be keeping them as they probably wont fit with the Z1000 Headlight Fairing.

It's a Carbon Fibre MV F4 Seat Unit on a one off Subframe. The tank is a GSXR 750WN watercooled model, the Muddy is Harris Carbon Fibre, I also have a Carbon Fibre Belly Pan and Hugger to go on.

Will post pics when its back together.

Mike.

Love the ducati rear end in the first pic.

I'm amazed how well the engine scrubbed up too. That bike looks excellent, and I actually really like the clipons!

Sorry guys been held up with the build due to the fork tubes taking longer than expected to be anodised. (Having them done black)

But fear not they should be done by wednesday and I should have them rebuilt and back on the bike by Saturday.

Have been busy though, gave the polished frame, swingarm, and engine covers a buff up so they are ready for the rebuild.

Stripped my tank and headlight fairing (Kwak Z1000) ready for paint. Not sure what colour I am going to go for yet but am going to try a design out on the tank first and if it comes out good then I will do the rest if it doesn't then I will stick to my original idea (dont want to give too much away yet!!)

So will get the engine back in the frame in the next few days along with the dynojetted carbs and filters ready for the return of my fork tubes then once they are back and rebuilt they will be fitted along with the JMC Drag swinger and the bike will be rolling again. At which point I can get on with fitting all the other parts (Brake Lines, Electrics, Lights, Rearsets, Mudguard, Calipers etc, etc) and it should start to take shape.
Still waiting for my subframe to come back with the battery box fitted but this wont slow down the above progress.

Was my Birthday last weekend so have a bit of dosh to chuck at the bike as well!!!

Some new pics to follow shortly.

Mike.
