Thermal underwear, hmmm try Oxfam. Laughing

Really can't think, places like outdoor shops could well have them in though or BHS etc might.

I would try the outdoor type shops though.

I wore them most of last winter. Bloody godsend! I got some sheap ones from a market, and another set from TJ Huges (If you have one). Any discount type department store should sell them fairly cheap.

What about thermal underleathers? Might be a bit more expensive than standard 'longjohns' but they should keep you warmer and be comfy under your leathers.
Try https://www.underleathers.com/ ,expensive but other companies produce similar items.

The ones from M&S are ok and they're not too expensive!

I normally just wear tracksuit bottoms under jeans or leathers to keep warm. If you're really after longjohns then Marks & Spencer do them. HTH Very Happy

Climbing shops like Tiso (do they have those down here?) or the Field & Trek catalogue are a great source of all kinds of interesting thermal things. They usually have a range of 'levels' from UK weather right down to Antarctic gear - which if you work out the wind chill factor of the air rushing past you at 70+ isn't as silly as it sounds.

Also good for really waterproof waterproofs - Goretex or Hellytech trousers are some of the greatest things invented. Goretex gear usually comes with a lifetime guarantee as well, so if they start leaking, you get an new pair for free. This obviously doesn't count if you rip them to shit falling off Smile

Many layers is the secret. A pair of thermals (from snowboarding shops or bike shops), a pair of medium denier tights and even a pair of thin tracksuit bottoms (ron hills) under your all weather textile trousers with winter inserts - snug as a bug! Do make sure you can move though! Laughing

I used to put on layers of trousers to keep warm, then i invested £80 in some waterproof, lined and thermal trousers from hein gerickle. The best money ive spent.

Thermals wont do anything unless you have something to keep the wind out, so the best thing is to get some windproof/waterproof trousers top keep the wind out. Get some with thick "foam" knee pads to keep your knees warm.
