When we first got the bike (at 58k miles), we were informed that the previous owner had religiously serviced it himself. Sadly, prayer seems to be the only effort he made. At it’s first service (by our garage), the air filter looked to be the antique original and the oil should have had a Greenpeace warning on it. The clutch plates were only staying together out of habit and I’m pretty sure fencing twine would have been better than the clutch cable in use. In his favour, he seemed to have an inexhaustible supply of copper grease

The bike doesn't look anywhere near as bad as he says it is.

Good advert though.

There are four different shades of red involved. The tank looks the original colour but has all the marks/scratches you would expect of this mileage bike. The front mudguard is turning a disturbing shade of pink (arterial red?). The rear fairing is also dissolving but into a less disturbing pale red.

LMAO!!

Excellent find.

It really does look as bad (up close & personal) as we described it! 'Course, if you don't believe us, you could always buy it to prove us wrong...."
