On Sunday gone, I was out on my bike enjoying the sun cruzing along the country roads of Cambridge when I hear a buzzing noise right in my ear. Thinking it was something with the bike I start to look around, as I turn my head, this bloody wasp lands right in front of my eyes. I tried to wipe him off but quickly realised he was inside. (I hate wasps as it is, never seen the point of them) Luckily for me I was able to pull over without being stung and get him out. Was thinking though, what’s the strangest thing you've ever had upfront and inside your visor?

Just turn your head to the left and open the visor...Mr. Green

Your lucky it didn't sting you! I had some nasty hornet thing in italy fly bum first into my neck, I had to pull over instantly, it brought a tear to my eye and I couldn't ride for 5 minutes it was that painful. I didn't even have the pleasure of seeing it die!

I had a wasp land on my helmet when I was stopped with the visor open, I shut it as I set off, I noticed something twitching down by my left eye as I was going, looked down to see half a wasp, tried to wipe it away but it was on the inside of my helmet Razz

I had a wasp hit my jacket, bounce upwards and lodge between my collar and the bottom of my helmet. Now, the wasp was a little annoyed at being thumped by a fast moving human so the little bugger started stinging my neck. My instinctive reaction was to let go of the bars (one hand only) and clasped it over the pain. Fairly stupid thing to do really as it just trapped it and encouraged it to sting me more (as it now couldn't see). So I pulled over sharpish and attempted to pull the wasp out of my jacket (where it was still lodged.) As many of you will know, trying to pick up small things in gloves is quite difficult so after a few attempts at getting it I pulled my hand away to find...................................................half a wasp. Balls. The other half was still happily stuck in my neck.

The worst thing I ever had stuck in my helmet was a Dragonfly. It was fucking huge, I had made the mistake of breezing along at about 80 with my visor up. I don't know quite how it happened but it had managed to get partly caught in the visor closing mechanism which meant I was riding with a Dragonfly buzzing in my face. Pulled over and whipped my helmet off faster than I ever had before and shook it violently till it came loose and flew off.

It was absolutely terrifying at the time as I couldn't quite see what was a cm from my face. Laughing

had a bumble bee whack my forehead at about 40 down country roads, instinctive reaction was, Ouch(then shut visor) only to realise the bumble bee was crawling upside down on the fabric of my lid, less than 1cm from my eyes, needless to say I pulled over and didn't put the lid back on Til it had gone Embarassed that was scary Confused

hahahaha! Sorry, i sure it wasn't funny at the time but that made me laugh. I just got this vision of this motobiker driving all over the show, looking mental, one arm on the bike the other round his neck as if he was trying to strangle himself!

About 50 ants after i left my lid on someone's garden and didn't notice the ants nest i'd cleverly put it on top of. Cool

OUCH !! that takes me back to when i first started riding. It was on my Jailing 125, was doing about 35/40mph and something hit my throat......FOOK ME i thought, what the F was that, pulled over and saw a wasp/bee's stingy thing hanging out the middle of my neck, which now had a bright red lump on it.......not to mention the fact that the wasp/bee's ass was still attched to the stinger, dont know where the rest of it went though !! ha ha..

Riding back from Chepstow in heavy rain I'd gotten so waterlogged that it was actually raining inside my lid - all that water coming round the seals of the top vent. Sad

Took 4 days for my gear to dry out, and my gloves never recovered. Not fun.

I got stung on the eyelid once, felt like someone had just shoved a red hot poker in my eye! Side of my face swelled up and I looked a little like the elephant man...

I just hope to god it doesn't ever happen again!
