I would love a trip to the 2004 Assen GP. However cash may be a problem...maybe look into it a bit nearer the time tho.

Went a few years ago, would definately reccomend it Very Happy. Would be up for it, but only if it doesn't clash with Glastonbury, 'cos I can't miss it next year.. though the line up will probably be a lot worse Sad.

dates are :-

Thursday 24th June 2004 until Saturday 26th June 2004

Prices are Thursday 20 euros
Friday 20 euros
Saturday 35 euros or 50 euros for seating.

Or 65 euros for the full meeting Laughing

Obviously with everyone living in different areas ferry arrangements would have to be central but prices from North Shields to Ijmuiden are usually around £100 for an "apex type" return. And it takes 14 hours of hell aswell. Twisted Evil

Depends how much you smoke Razz (or if you take advanatge of hollands 'other' attractions Confused ).

If you have a search through here I won't through the costs somewhere.. if not I'll write down some basic costs later.

He's right, exotic tulip bulbs can be expensive.

I'll probably be up for it as long as Glastonbury is at a different time. Must remember to take some cash this time though Confused me and G must have walked miles last time looking for a cash machine, I had blisters when I got back.

I'd quite like to go to Assen for a track day at some point, the track is as good as Brands imho, but probably quite a bit cheaper Smile

Surely part of the 'experience' would be to get a quick ferry crossing (Dover - Callais for £60) and then ride up to Assen Cool
Still, it sounds like a very good idea. Might even be able to talk a few of my work mates into coming Smile

Glasto is usually held on the last weekend in June, so meh. Unless I mange to miss tickets to Glasto again, I should definately be going to the festival.

wouldnt be much of an experience for me m8y, 360 miles to Dover, then probably another 350 up to Assen...then the return trip...1420 miles in total, when it normally takes me 300 miles MAX from up here in geordie land Twisted Evil Petrol costs would be HUGE..at least £140 for me when it`s normally no more than £30, think best way to do it, would be for everyone to make their own way to Holland then meet up at a pre-determined point Very Happy

The Harwich-Hook van holland ferry would seem to be a more sensible option.

It's a hydrofoil-catamaran so only takes about 3 hours to get to Holland.

As a foot passenger it used to cost about £50 for an under 26 for a return from harwich -> any train station in Holland. About £65 if you booked late or were older.

Not sure about prices for vehicles.
