Does anyone have accident insurance, for themselves, not there machine.

Bike insurance covers the bike, what about your body?
Anyone got seperate cover?

Who is it with?
How much?
What does it actualy cover you for?
Have you claimed, what did you get / get ripped off?

My bank offered me free personal injury insurance. "\o/" I thought, until I read the small print.

If you fall off your bike your cover is null and void Rolling Eyes

So in short, no I don't.

My life insurance covers me for all sorts, however its about £13 a month - but that will pay my mortgage off if I have a bad accident etc.

I have personal injury/sickness insurance - it gets paid out if I am off work for more than 6 weeks (before work stop paying me my normal wage). It pays about 2/3 of my monthly salary - tax free Smile

I'm going to get personal injury cover when I start as a courier, the place I'm looking at getting it from is £15 a month and will cover you for being a courier, track days, normal road riding and even racing, can't be bad Very Happy . I'll dig out the number later and post it up.

We have both our lives covered (the hippys for a very good sum). We have income protection on the mortgage and we have an insurance if the hippy is unable to earn money. They all cost a small fortune each month (which I really resent) but if something did happen we would be reasonably comfortable. It covers pretty much anything and would pay out in all curcumstances.

We saw our bank adviser (HSBC) and checked what they suggested for us against others before we signed.

The important thing is to protect your ability to earn or against sickness / injury - when it comes to death it is only important if you have dependents.

You would probably find that that would not have covered you for much - My horse riding cover was quite a bit more and covered me for everything. I did used to work with bad cases though - one of them cracked a couple of my ribs and bruised the whole of my left breast just in time for my wedding Laughing
