Some of you may remember my Cbr400 if you do ull remember what a complete state it was, even though it was a complete state people remember it more than any of my other bikes, like it was some kind of legend.
No fairings, no speedo, no fork oil, oil all over brakes, bent forks, screwed headbearing, the 'deathpeg' and many more.

when i got it.

So as you may also know i bought a new CBR, its changed alot since 1988, but it still has that deathrace heritige, that sparkle in its eye.
But personally it didnt look crap enough, so i bought a complete set of fairings covered in scratches and filler, threw in a few cable ties and bada bing badda boom Deathrace MKII.
It has a long way to go but its a start.

I miss the deathrace, it was something truly special.
A quote that always stuck in my mind about the deathrace. "I'd never buy it, I've heard that thing bounce off the limiter from cold too many times."

Those new rr fairings don't look in bad nick at all tbh!

It still looks basically alright. Get some serious dirt on the bike if you want real tat-cred.

the reason they are like that is because these fairings were used as a carbon fibre mold for British supersport.
I picked them up from Mclaren car factory (where they make the SLR).

Same for me, i went through a stage of eating stupid amounts of food and barely gaining a pound or two. one day of eating normally and it was gone again.

Was that near Woking? Should be going there soon funnily enough.

Bike is almost perfect now in my eyes...just throw some paint stripper over the fairings and perhaps a tin of black paint afterwards. The sort of bike I want. Thumbs Up

Few more cable ties and cracks are required. 8/10, not a bad effort.
