this is annoying me now, can't get this pic into an avatar, profile page says it's to big(in KB) or there's nothing in url txt or something..

Cheers Jay, how did you do it, and noticed you got a gold blob!
what I want in the end is a clear close up image of the bike, like by chopping the sides and top and bottom off... but thanks anyway

I just used https://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/ , If you have a play around for a while you might be able to get what you want.

I'd suggest you, err, learn to use the internet.
Irfanview is also useful for basic resizing tasks.
