So, I'm trying to get my head around building up a loom for my NC30-road bike. I'm stumped at the relays though. I understand they allow high drain usages to use low powered switches without putting too much current through them and their cables. So, I'm looking at buying 2 relays for the high/low beam circuits. The wiring diagram for the relay I have replicated on the right here...

With the extract from the wiring diagram (left) for reference, am I wiring it up properly?

Cheers for any help. These relays are £1.87, does that sound about right?

Anthony.

And no, I have no intention of using the old loom. I prefer to make my own due to the bizarre locations of my components!!

Aye that's right. I recently added a Low Beam relay to my NC30 the same way. Good luck with the loom rebuild. Seems like hard work to me.

Now you need to find said terminals on the relay because they are numbered.

30 from battery
85 from switch
86 to earth
87 to bulb

S'ok Stink, the pin layout is also on the diagram in the catalogue Smile

If you remember, this was originally the loom which you kindly helped me out with last October time for my trackbike project. It ended up looking like this-

And we had a cracking day around Cadwell last monday, holding my own in the inters group.

It's now getting converted to be road legal though, hence the headlamp relays!

Cheers though. Thumbs Up
