Intriguing pc problem..

Every so often when booting my second pc up (an oversized dvd/mp3 player) the keyboard would fail to work, so can't enter passowrd.. i presumed something down to the keyboard being made by japanese dinosaurs, after reebooting it'd be fine..

yesterday it wouldn't work, no matter how many reboots.. so i fling the keybaord in the bin and fit a usb board known to be working.. its not..

so i try accessing the bios, which works, all keys fine there, reboot and try to install a new o/s and it wont accept any keyboard input after post message, so can't change os at the "push any key to boot from cd" (and i get the feeling it'd do no good)

Anyone had this before? is the pc at last going to join its beige brothers in the sky?

Yep i get what you mean, just trying with another ps2 board i have and its the same deal.. in fact its taking a long time to boot up.. i have a feeling the mobo is on its way out perhaps...

- Try the keyboard on another pc (to determine the issue is 100% with your pc)
- Try another USB port if no joy
- Update the drivers of your USB on the MB

Had the same, I just updated the driver as said above and everything was working again.
