Years ago, Performance Bikes magazine fitted nitrous to a CG125. it blew up within 30 seconds.
However, it might not be a silly an idea as it first seems. You could probably run one on a low level of boost all the time. They do this with monkey bikes. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

I have a good tip for you. When you're going flat-out and are crouched down with your chin on the clocks. Put both feet on the pillion pegs. Take your left hand off the bars and place it in the small of your back. Now arch your shoulders as if you had a humpback.
You should go noticeably faster. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Oops, Yeah, thats the one i meant!
I've heard you can get some special 'Power Bands' for the CG that increase the power quite dramaticaly and are very cheap and easy to fit.
Does anyone know where i can get some from? |

I know that on the CBR125, if you go to a 14 tooth front sprocket (standard is 15 tooth) then it will increase the top speed an accelleration. I know going lower on the front normally increases accelleration but decreases top end but the CBR does not have the power to rev out in top. By going lower on the front it enables the bike to rev out in top - therefore increasing the top speed.
I'm assuming the same will apply to a CG as they are very similar bikes.
EDIT: The ''power bands'' you're referring to are non-existant. Only 2 strokes have definate 'power bands' and this is just a section of the rev range where the engine pulls especially hard, not like an elastic band
EDIT#2: Just realised you were taking the piss ____________________ Current bike: CBR600F-Y |
