Here are a few from the BSB races at Oulton Park this weekend, in weather that was "changeable" to say the least!

The full gallery is here.

Did you get any Superstocks photos? I was with Raceways Yamaha (all went a bit wrong for Hudson Kennaugh) would be good to get some team photos if you have any.

I think it's the angle as much as anything. He's hard on the brakes at the end of the back straight and positioned to drop into Lodge.

Not really, sorry - am open to offers of work though Wink . I went out just as Superstocks was stopped, and then postponed until after the second Superbike race. I caught Kennaugh's grid mishap from the comfort of the media centre, cup of tea in hand!

Yeah the grid girls didn't stay on for long, I was one of them sent off, and it would've been pole position! I probably saw you in the media centre on sat or sunday, I had a press pass for the weekend. Are you doing the WSB at Silverstone at the end of the month?

Yes (one way or another) although I haven't applied for my pass yet... Doh!

I was in and out of the centre for most of Sat/Sun so you may well have done.

Will you be at Snetterton in two weeks?

Deff off to Silverstone for the WSBK with Mark and Soul. Be my first WSBK and can't wait!

Silver, wear a big red hat or shirt or something that reads: "I wish I had an Aprilia", then I can come and say hello to ya!

Aprilia?! Only when they make a decent four cylinder bike! Wink

I'll be the one carrying a big lens around. That'll narrow it down to a couple of hundred people... Laughing

With the leg sized one right?

They have made a 200BHP+ V4 motor for the 2008 season, Not good enough for ya to wear the Aprilia name?

Well, a short leg maybe until I can stump up the £4-5k for a bigger one...

That engine would be great... until I highsided it into the nearest gravel trap...!

No I've been offered work but I'm taking a weekend off for the Rugby Heineken cup final, my fella got us tickets cos I was really ill when the semi's were on (he had a ticket for me then but I couldn't make it).

Definately wear a big red hat at Silverstone for the WSB if you make it, or just keep an eye out for me, I'll be wearing something stupidly cold I expect Smile

If it's anything like Donington WSB, it'll be baltic. I didn't stop shivering for three days! I did feel really sorry for the Dorna girls in very short mini skirts. They looked freezing!

I'll try and come and find you if you're there.

Absolutely fantastic photos. I'm an amateur photographer myself but the only motorsport photography practise I've had is at a couple of track days at Donnington. I really like your photos.

Do you take photos for a living, and what kit are you using?

Also how'd you go about getting your media access? I'd love to have a chat with you if we're at the next BSB or such.

No, at the moment it's an (expensive) part-time venture with plans...! I use Canon EOS 1D MkII and 30D cameras with 24-70mm f2.8L, 70-200mm f2.8L and Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 lenses.

No worries, I normally get stopped by one or two people and asked questions - probably the same as anyone in a jacket. I'm not the most experienced photographer in the paddock by a long, long stretch of the imagination, but I'm always willing to help.

Have a look at this pdf for the requirements for a season pass for this season's BSB rounds:
https://www.mcrcb-events.co.uk/gallery/Media%20Accreditation%20Application.pdf

You can apply on a round by round basis to the circuits, but will still have to establish that you're working for a recognised news gathering outlet and have had previous works published.

It's been at cold at every event except Brands Hatch! When will the summer return??? Typical, I was off my bike for 6 weeks when the weather was perfect, as soon as I get back on again it's freezing, rainy and pretty depressing Crying or Very sad

Thanks guys.

Bazza, they're generally cropped. Occassionally the composition is spot on, but at the speeds they're travelling, not very often!
