I stupidly deleted my quick launch icon for 'show desktop' and I find it really useful if I have multiple apps open to quickly get back to the desktop.

Anyone know how I can put it back on? I'm fine with putting actual apps on there (have Firefox & Thunderbird icons no problem) but can't figure out how to put 'Show Desktop' back on.

Help!

I just press 'windows' + 'd' and its a lot less faffing than trying to find a tiny little icon with your mouse.

Open notepad and enter this:

Code:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save it as

Code:
Show Desktop.scf

to your desktop (If you type the filename including the .scf in quotes - "Show Desktop.scf" in the Save As box in Notepad, it will save with the .scf extension and not as a .txt file).

Drag the file to your quick launch bar.

That would work if his whole quick launch toolbar had been closed, I think it's just the specific icon that has gone.

There's a whole load... 'windows' + 'f' for find, + 'e' for explorer etc etc.
