Hey Guys,

as a few of you know , i purchased a Kawasaki Zxr400 back in december, and well. it stayed in my garage since.

with my test due, and my equipment ready, all that is left is to get the bike how i want it.

now, i would like to get the bike resprayed, but in two minds atm as to whether respray it myself, or get a spray centre to do it for me.

its a simple job,

Primary Colour is black and the secondary is white,

just im a bit cautious at the moment, as to spilling petrol on the petrol tank, and ruining the paint.

whats your views. and what sort of price range would a simple paint job cost?

hope to hear

JIM

Jim, i got the job done properly on my bike for 110 quid for the paint scheme as a favour done by a mate that you were more or less looking for. Notice how the 2nd time it was done, it looked a lot tidier. Attempting to do it yourself will require lots of time and patience and preperation will prevent a piss poor product.

Obviously, get the whole thing properly lacquerd using petrol proof lacquer on the tank and it shouldn't really be a problem.

I'd save the hassle and get somebody else to do it, because if the paint scheme you were looking for was similar to my old bike, it certainly won't cost a lot to do, especially if the fairings are uncracked. The scratches will all come off in the rubbing down.

Don't let your bike be 3 foot minger!
