Looking in the mirror this morning I found a grey hair , I'm thinking wow I'm mid 20s
and getting grey hair already,

I've questions, so like when did you get grey hair?

what did you do ? , cover it up , dye it etc?

I'm unsure what to do since I've always had jet black hair and am of indeterminate age to
everybody who I know.

Genetics or circumstance?

My family is iffy all the men (including cousins etc) got grey by the time they were 19 I'm quite
a bit older and dodged it till now, but this has been a stressful year I sat 6 exams in 3 days
have another coming up and had to face down sexual harrassment claim (I won) and
the future seems so ....whats the word ...uncertain?.

AND

I bought a CBR600 FX

Instead of the crazier faster bikes like ZX6/10R GSX600R/750 K3/R6/R1/CBR600RR

oh man...... least insurance is getting alot cheaper.....

maybe I should take a leaf out of BWFC's book and be much more carefree , yeah I know this is a minute problem compared to some of the dear Auntie BCF (esp seeing the cancer type threads) but I appreciate your input.

One things for sure, there's no stopping it. My friend has black hair and started going grey in his early teens.

I just go with it. Blokes look more distiguished when they get old features like grey hair. It could be worse, you could be a woman going grey then just look like an old hag. Very Happy

https://i.imdb.com/Photos/Events/0504-tvg/hung_sam.mo or https://magasi.net/catalog/images/large/must-brown-black.jpg

why you worried bout grey hairs? be worried if it was falling out as its just there to keep your head warm. Razz

Hi

Started to go grey in my mid 20s. The odd grey hair. Seem to be more appearing now. Only worry is that they mainly seem to be appearing in the middle, so I will land up looking like a skunk.

All the best

I've not gone grey as yet without help (had it dyed grey for a while, cost a small fortune though so couldn't keep it up Sad) but it's like any other hair colour in the main - if you don't like it, cover it up. Grey hair does tend to react slightly differently to hair dye so it's worth checking what the dyes say about it if you go that route however, you could just let it grow through as grey hair can look incredible no matter what age/sex someone is Very Happy

Before i had my hair cut, i had like a pubic bush on my head that was at least 4 inches long. When combing over, i saw a strand of completely white, discoloured hair and nearly fell ill. I mean, i'm just 20 and to have a long strand of perfectly bleached white hair was very shocking. It depends on how much grey hair you have. I got some tweasers and asked my mate to pluck it out. I think if you just cut it, it will grow back.

I don't want to end up like philip schofield by the age of 22! Having said that, my mum dyes her hair and my dad, despite balding has a head of black hair still - both are 60, there or therabouts.

I think it's genetic. My mum went grey in her 20s as did my brother who is 18 months younger than me. However, my dad had only just started to go grey when he died aged 54 and I have only the odd gray hair here and there at 43 - mine are barely noticable to be honest (for those of you who have met me my hair is not dyed).

Up to you really. If it gets noticeable and bothers you then dye it, it's quick and easy (but don't forget the vaseline! Wink )

Maybe see what reaction you are getting and then decide? It could be a useful tool for pulling older women if you leave it! Very Happy

I was fully grey at 21, didn't really give a shit about it then and still don't ,if you go down that road of obsessive vanity what you going to do if you get premature wrinkles etc, personality it's what makes a person, and before every one starts on about fat old birds wearing leggings etc, ask yourself how many tv interviews etc have you seen where the women who foster and dedicate their lives to raising deprived and orphaned kids etc look like liz hurley.

I'm going to leave it for a bit, I was a bit surprised really I'd expected to stay with me jet black hair till I was 30 35 ish , since looking at you babs you seem not to have any noticable grey hairs , Mr. Green

I started to get grey hairs when I was about 20. I'm 28 now and there's quite a few but it's a slow progression.

I don't really care. I only look about 21 still anyway and I'd rather have grey hair than go bald.

I started getting greys in my late teens into my early 20's... and it really started to take hold by my late 20's. I originally dyed it a few times back to my natural colour some years ago, but quickly realised I was fighting a losing battle, so thought WTF and left it alone.
I'm now into the latter half of my 30's and got what I'd call a salt and pepper colour (although it tends to be shaved quite short most of the time). However my main surprise recently was that my stubble and chest hairs started to turn grey too, and although it's common sense that they'd follow suit, it was still a bit of a curious surprise.

It's all down to genetics for me, cos my mothers side of the family nearly all went grey at an early age.

I started seeing my first grey hairs in my mid twenties. The stress of this was nothing compared to having to start trimming nose and ear hairs in my early thirties though. My dad was quite bald by the time he was 30, so I'm ahead of the game (no pun intended). My hair is getting thinner, but if I start losing it, I'd just go for the Picard look. I won't be colouring the grey out, as I'm immune to advertising.

'They' say the darker your hair the sooner you go grey.

I started to get the odd stray grey hair last year and I was 29 with mousy brown hair! Not fair!
