Should I do it, does it make a huge difference?

Can't remember what my old Kwaks ran but the R6 is a 120/60/17 front.

Would a 65 or 70 front profile mess things up a tad? Is this the usual size for most sports 600's?

The rear is 180/55/17 but I'm sure thats a well catered for tyre size?

Cheers.

Pretty much all racers will use 70 profile front tyres regardless of the original tyre profile of the bike.

I've stuck 70 profile tyres on all sorts of bikes which take 120 section front tyres but weren't designed for 70 profile - no problems.

Why the 70, more progresive turn in?

Will it not foul the front mudguard then?

i run a 70 on my r6,and it turns in a bit better,no issues, sits a bit closer to the mudguard but clears it.

The 70 does turn in a bit quicker - though this may be slightly defeated because it will also raise the front slightly if you don't adjust the forks in the yolks.
It also offers more grip on the sides with a wider contact patch as there's now more rubber angled out.

My kwak was was a 120x65 at the front as are most road going 600cc sports bikes...

When I got the BT002's the front was a 70 and it felt no better or worse on the track and road...
And the extra rubber on the road will do you good col , you can get rid of them horrible stabilisers mate.... Wink Mr. Green
